Ken SkrzeszKen Skrzesz has administered and advised for profit, non profit, and educational programs internationally through emphasizing equitable access in procedural development, strategic planning, and policy, standards, curriculum and assessment creation. His enthusiasm for, and knowledge of developing the creative and collaborative processes, has allowed him to build successful campaigns in community partnerships, donor development, and recruitment with a unique commitment to serving economically challenged and historically resilient populations.
Ken served as the Executive Director of the Maryland State Arts Council, emphasizing equity and justice as the path toward quality arts experiences for all residents by establishing statewide professional development in various topics to elevate the work of grantees. His state-level service began as the Coordinator of Fine Arts for the Maryland State Department of Education developing a model that featured creativity and collaboration as a driving force for all students by founding the Maryland Centers for Creative Classrooms offering ongoing professional development for educators and administrators. Ken earned his Master of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Towson University. Ken received the Baltimore Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Service, and distinguished alumni awards from Towson State University and from the University of North Carolina. |
